Announcing baby BOY Andes!!!

For those that want the details, this is how I surprised Tyson! So Tyson started his new job and consequently doesn't have much time off. Our schedules didn't allow for both of us to go have the ultrasound together to find out if we were having a boy or girl. Also, I could hardly wait any longer to find out! Tyson knew I had my doctors appointment on the 18th but I had told him I wasn't doing the ultrasound that day because the doctor wanted me to come back the next week. He thought the doctor was dumb for making me come back just one week later but somehow believed me! Originally I was going to buy the two outfits (one boy and one girl) and put either in a bag and rap it up to surprise Tyson because he couldn't be there.  After talking to my sister I decided that I wanted to be surprised too, that way we could open the baby outfit and ultrasound TOGETHER to find out what we are having! So I went ahead and found the cutest little boy and girl outfits, (hid them away in the closet) and patiently waited for the day to arrive! It seemed like it took so long for the day to arrive but it did, FINALLY! Tyson had his big final exam on the 18th so he was kinda stressed out. I just kept promising him that once he was done with his exam it was going to be a great day!...little did he know just how grrreat! Finally 4 pm rolled around and I was off to get the ultrasound! I took the yellow envelope, the two outfits and the crazy mexico bag with me (all pictured above). I had the nicest lady do my ultrasound, she made it so much fun! Unfortunately, she turned off my t.v. screen so I couldn't see what was going on, so I wouldn't accidentally see something that would give it away! After quite some time (baby boy was really calm, relaxed and not moving around too much) she finally was able to determine the sex. I went and waited in the waiting room and the nice lady brought out everything all put together just how it needed to be so I wouldn't be tempted to peek!! I had her stuff both outfits into the mexico bag, putting the gender the baby wasn't into a black bag and then into the mexico one. I then met with the doctor and couldn't wait to get home to surprise Tyson! My brother and sister showed up at the same time I did to the house, (we all went to the ASU-Oregon game), and took some pictures for me.  I explained to him how we were finding out together because I didn't know yet either.  The pictures explain the rest of the story. haha. He was so surprised and we are so excited!! I loved finding out together, it made it that much sweeter. Now we can officially start preparing. WHOOO!!

UPDATE

I've decided to be a lot better at keeping this blog updated which won't be easy come today; ASU is officially in session for the Fall semester! I can't tell if I am ready for another semester or if I wouldn't mind continuing summer break. I'm ready to work hard in school again but more importantly I'm SO READY for my last semester of classes! One last semester of procrastinated papers, light rail rides with weirdies and the hot AZ heat beating down on me as I walk to each class only to be drenched in sweat by the time I get there.

Summer flew by. It is so weird to think that just last summer I was meeting Tyson for the first time. How wonderful to be married to my best friend. I couldn't have imagined anything better. Each day I find myself being so Thankful for the plan Heavenly Father has for me. The way life has worked out is 100% different and more perfect from what I had planned for myself. This summer was a lot like last only better because we're married. We love swimming, crafting (projects as Tyson calls them...sounds more manly), Goodwill 1/2 off shopping, thrift stores, bike rides, watching movies together, going to the library and being with family. What I've found is that the simple things are so much fun just because we get to do them together. Recently we've taken up yard work together. HAHA. Boy is it fun. I am quite impressed that we survived working together for so long. We put in a good six hours of trimming, sawing, raking, bagging and loading branches onto a trailer. I usually would let Tyson take care of all the outside big jobs while I clean, wash and cook but this time I was convinced to help. It turned out to be quite fun working together.

One of my favorite projects this summer was our nightstands we FINALLY found. We've been looking for nightstands for such a long time I had just about given up on them. Good old Craigslist helped us out and be brought home two nice sized nightstands. While they were still in good shape our house was needing a "pop" of color. We bravely picked out a wonderful shade of Yellow and got to painting. The project ended up being way more tedious than expected. We thought the idea to add cabinets to the front of the nightstands was such a great idea, until we started cutting them out. Literally 6 Home-Depot trips later and my door to the nightstand is still being perfected. Who knew the hardest part would be dealing with the hinges? NOT ME! Pictures will come with the next post.

BIRTHDAY BASH

My birthday was wonderful thanks to the best husband, family, in-laws and friends in the world. The day before my birthday I searched out restaurants that give birthday freebies..(fatttty, yes). I saw that Krispy Kreme gives  a free dozen doughnuts so I planned to get doughnuts in the morning for breakfast. Birthday morning came around and I called up Krispy Kreme to make sure the trip there was actually worth our time. Come to find out they only give 1 doughnut free on birthdays. So, I said nay to that idea and we decided to go to Safeway and get doughnuts and cereal instead. We had delicious doughnuts and then Tyson headed off to school for a few hours. I finished with my last final online just in time to clean the house before Tyson got home from school. He FINALLY got home. We then had some swim time and may have swam a bit too long. We are FRIED. We literally look like bright red cherry tomatoes. It is fun to swim again because it reminds us of last summer when we had just met and we swam at his house a few times a week. AWWWW, so precious.

I was then surprised when my mother-in-law came over and gave me my birthday present. She is the sweetest lady and brought me flowers along with...DRUM ROLL...........LES MISERABLES tickets!!! The show isn't until September but I seriously can not wait!!!!!! I will literally be counting down the days. The day continued on with movie time at superstition springs dollar theaters. I love going out with my husband even if it is just to a dollar movie with the whole old folks community. haha. We saw, THE VOW, possibly the most depressing movie of the year, or my lifetime. After being depressed from the movie we hit up sonic before going home. Then Tyson let me open my presents. I knew about most of my presents because Tyson took me shopping two weeks ago and I picked out some clothes. He also bought me an awesome, cute, antique globe that he hid from me until my birthday! I also may have ruined my birthday surprise BIKE. Worst wife ever right?! Naturally I ruined the only gift that was going to be a surprise. How was I suppose to know I couldn't look at his phone?! I needed it to call JOE's BBQ to find out if they gave free food. hahaha...oops, bad wife. Good thing Tyson is so loving and forgave me for ruining the surprise. He bought me the cutest little pink bike, which I love, and will ride even when it is 100 degrees outside! Geeeez he spoils me! He also got me some pretty diamond earrings that I can wear everyday.

We then went to mother Jill's home for my birthday dinner I always request. SPAGHETTI. My mom literally makes the best spaghetti, ever. I don't know what it is but I have always loved it. So we spent some time with the family and ate dinner, salad, garlic bread and brownies with ice cream!! YUM. Overall, the day was perfect!! Thank you to everyone who helped make it special. I love you all!

                                                          MY BEAUTIFUL GLOBE :]
MY new fun, summer pants...mine look a little more green/teal

                                                           I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

MARRIAGE

We are officially married. How weird to think time FINALLY sped up and we are actually married.
The few months planning and preparing seemed to drag on and on and on.......... However, it was all worth it when our wedding day finally arrived. We had the greatest support from friends and family!! We were also so overwhelmed with everyone's love and kindness. Everything about our wedding day was absolutely perfect.

Everything seemed to go right as planned. In the morning we finished setting up the last few reception decorations we had. My aunts, neighbors, grandmas and mother (bless them for all their work) were running around all morning fixing up all kinds of food. The men finished putting up the backdrop for our line.I quickly showered and got ready to go to the temple! It was such an amazing experience to have my Grandpa Brewer seal us. He is such a righteous, faithful man. The temple is such a perfect place that is so peaceful. Everything ran so smoothly. Our wedding photographer and flower lady were also so great. We are so lucky to have such amazing people all around us!

After pictures at the temple we headed over to my parents house to help finish the last little things before the reception started. It was exactly what I was hoping for! I won't lie, most of my ideas were from Pinterest (only the greatest website.) Luckily I have great girls in the family that helped me with all the little crafts! My dreams were even complete with a cake pop CAKE!! Thank you to Sister Wyeth and the Grimes for their craftiness. I LOVED MY CAKE. The food was so wonderful thanks to my amazing aunts Cyndi and Celia.
Everyone was so helpful, I just can't believe how lucky we are! We had so much support it was/is so overwhelming... Overwhelming in a good way. We are so blessed! Our line lasted for hours as we continued to greet the greatest family and friends on earth. We then had our cake, first dance, father/daughter dance and a few fun dances!Luckily we had some food packed to take with us for the weekend. We were sent away in a shower of sparklers complete with a hot tub in the bed of the truck (thank you groomsmen).

Unfortunately, we weren't able to sneak away for our honeymoon due to school and work! We were able to get away for the weekend at the Arizona Grand Resort. Our honeymoon will hopefully come sometime this summer! We are still planning where to go. Good news is that I finally got my passport so the possibilities are endless. HA.

This past weekend for spring break we traveled to Mexico with my brother Jordan and his wife Julie, also with their neighbors Andrew and Bea. It was so fun to get away for the weekend!! The condo was so cute and perfect. I couldn't believe they had the nicest resorts just in the middle of nowhere. HA! The highlights of the weekend consisted of the beach, an aquarium, all weekend with a husband, paleta's, nasty carnival with horrible inhumane rides, and picture perfect scenery. I hope we can go back sometime. Of course, we'll have to get the official invite from Jordan and Julie. I've decided one of my goals for this lifetime is to learn Spanish. I would love to know how to speak Spanish. Someday I will learn!

Well, until the next posting we will be counting down until our next vacation!! Better yet the last day of school.
HURRY SUMMER.......

Pictures to come....
